h1 Railroad song (Traditional)

March 6, 2011

A cover of the traditional “Railroad Song”. It was covered by the Notting Hillbillies a while back, and provided me with a great excuse to try out this Gold Tone GT-500 banjo.

Dire Straits: Fade to Black (cover)

Fade to Black (Dire Straits Cover)

A song that sort of went unnoticed, but a great Mark Knopfler song that I had to cover. Not that I am a fan, or anything.

Notting Hillbillies: Your Own Sweet Way

November 8, 2009

One of my favorite songs since the day I first heard it. Classic Mark Knopfler tones and licks.

Dire Straits: Why Worry

November 5, 2009 Why Worry? (Dire Straits cover)

In case you hadn’t noticed, I am a huge Mark Knopfler fan… so my goal is to cover each and every song he ever recorded 🙂

I used my Lentz T-style on this track.

Dire Straits: On Every Street

November 4, 2009

I have been lucky to own some cool guitfiddles. Some I still own, some I don’t.

Since I take pics of all my guitars, I decided to make a quick video highlighting some of my favorite guitars.

The soundtrack is my take on Dire Straits’ “On every street”. the guitar used on that track was a Fender Telesonic, which I should never have sold…

Some of the guitars featured in this video include work from Collings, Grosh, Trussart, David Thomas McNaught, Anderson and Giffin.
