Blaze Foley: Clay Pigeons

October 27, 2011

Friend of mine asked me if I knew this song. It happens to be one of my fave songs, so I had to re-record a version of it. Just for fun.

John Prine: Darlin’ Hometown Cover

November 7, 2009

I recorded this version of Darlin’ Hometown by John Prine for the November edition of the HC Virtual Open Mic. There are several tracks – bass, acoustic guitar, vocals, mandolin, chest organ, etc… – but they are all first takes, so this qualifies as a VOM1T.

I made a video with pictures of *my* hometown to make this wonderful song my own 🙂

Gear used:

Ovation Elite T
Kentucky KM-675 mandolin

John Prine: Angel from Montgommery

November 4, 2009

Singing the John Prine classic, just because it’s such a great song.

Gear used for this video: Reverend Rocco, Dr Z Mini Z head, Avatar 2×12 cab & a Holy Grail reverb. Oh yeah, and a busted up straw hat, too, for good measure 🙂
